Engineer / Maintenance Technician (Instrument & Control)

Key Tasks

• Preventive Maintenance - Perform routine preventive maintenance on instrumentation and control systems, including PLC and SCADA systems, sensors, and associated components to ensure optimal performance
• Corrective Maintenance - Execute timely corrective maintenance and provide on-call support for emergency maintenance services to minimize operational downtime
• Calibration - Schedule and conduct regular calibration of sensors, such as gas monitoring devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Fault Diagnosis - Diagnose faults and implement recovery processes during major system breakdowns and service interruptions. Develop and execute contingency action plans for critical plant failures
• Modification and Testing - Collaborate on-site for interface coordination, modification work, testing, and commissioning of systems to enhance operational efficiency
• Liaison - Work closely with contractors and system providers to troubleshoot and resolve engineering and maintenance challenges effectively
• Documentation Development - Assist in the development and review of operational manuals and maintenance procedures to ensure clarity and compliance with best practices
• Safety Compliance - Implement and uphold workplace safety policies and standards, fostering a culture of safety within the team
• Inventory Management - Monitor and manage spare parts inventory proactively to minimize equipment downtime and ensure availability of critical components

Requirements:

• Diploma or above in Instrumentation and Control System, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
• At least 4 years of experience in engineering or maintenance of instrumentation and control system
• Familiar with PLC, SCADA, and various sensor technologies
• Familiar with biogas/town gas handling equipment and gas monitoring system
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills in written and spoken English and Cantonese
