Editor / Senior Editor / Managing Editor – Primary English

Main Responsibilities: 

• Develop content and carry out editorial work, including edit, write and proofread content, for print and digital products and ensure the highest quality of work is achieved
• Prepare briefs for design, photos and artworks
• Liaise with authors, freelancers, artists, designers and other relevant parties to ensure timely production of assigned titles
• Collaborate with other departments in market research, promotion and sales activities
• Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements: 

• University degree or above in English Language, English Literature, Translation or related disciplines
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Experience in educational publishing / textbook editing / eLearning is an advantage
• Teaching experience is an advantage
• Good knowledge in IT is an advantage
• Familiar with local primary English Language curriculum
• Good organisation, time management and communication skills
• Strong interest for a career in education and a keen eye for details
• Candidates with more experience will be considered for senior positions
