Editor (project management)

Law.asia, a thriving legal media company with market-leading content focusing on China, India and the rest of Asia, is seeking an experienced editor with strong project management skills for the bilingual China Business Law Journal (CBLJ).

The successful applicant will play a crucial role in our prestigious award projects, write, translate and edit award reports, conduct surveys with lawyers and business leaders, and build a strong network of connections with Asia-focused legal and business professionals.

Experience in media, publishing, law, finance or relevant industries is required. Familiarity with China’s legal services market is an advantage.

The position is based in Hong Kong but travel to mainland China and possibly other destinations will be required.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

• Excellent spoken Putonghua and English skills and a flair for writing in both simplified Chinese and English
• Strong communication skills both internally and externally
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent time management abilities, including the capacity to undertake multiple projects simultaneously
• A knowledge of – and interest in – business and legal trends in China
