Buyer

This position will be responsible for leading the buying activities in Asia, including sourcing, product development, program operation, and supplier management in line with our sourcing and supplier strategies to support the growth of our business. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end sourcing, product development and delivery to meet margin, cost, quality, and timeline targets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
• Understand our brands and markets to deliver optimal customer offers.
• Contribute to Asia KPIs and negotiate benefits to maximize profitability and meet commercial targets.
• Provide sourcing solutions aligned with our strategies.
• Identify the best in class suppliers, manage and develop suppliers and build supplier relationship.
• Support program operations, including workstreams, data management, cost analysis and reporting.

Requirements:

• University graduate or equivalent
• 3 years of solid experience in sourcing/buying is preferred
• Work experience in sizeable buying office for UK/EU retailer is an advantage
• Relevant product knowledge is an advantage
• Understanding of UK and EU market
• Understanding of beauty category
• Business focus with acute commercial sense
• High level of ownership and accuracy
• Strong communication and team player
• Logical and detailed minded
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to work under pressure in a dynamic and competitive environment
• Willing to travel
