Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst (45K, Perm, Leading IT solution firm)

Job responsibilities:

1. Communication & Relationships: Effectively communicate intricate solutions verbally and in writing, ensuring clarity and brevity. Utilize active listening and exceptional interpersonal skills to establish and sustain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

2. Process Analysis & Solutions: Map, analyze, and evaluate current business processes to pinpoint areas for enhancement and root causes of issues. Collaborate with stakeholders to outline future processes, suggest technically feasible and user-friendly solutions, and visually present them while meeting business objectives.

3. Meeting Facilitation: Lead and facilitate productive meetings and discussions, both internally and with clients, to ensure mutual understanding and goal attainment. This involves eliciting requirements, clarifying business needs, and efficiently resolving conflicts.

4. Industry & Impact Understanding: Possess an in-depth understanding of the industry, its processes, terminology, and emerging trends. Independently identify potential impacts of proposed changes on business processes, systems, and stakeholders.

5. Technical Collaboration & Bridging: Comprehend technical concepts, development methodologies, and system architecture to collaborate with technical teams on solution design. Act as a vital link between business and technical teams, facilitating communication and documenting complex solutions such as API documentation or system diagrams.

6. Requirements Management: Efficiently elicit, gather, and document comprehensive business requirements for complex projects from all stakeholders. Ensure documentation is precise, accurate, complete, technically feasible, and aligned with business objectives, often leveraging tools like JIRA or Confluence.

7. Project Management Contribution: Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to define project scope, formulate plans, manage changes, and conduct impact analyses throughout the project lifecycle. Handle multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery with high stakeholder satisfaction.

8. Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and engage stakeholders at various levels to ensure aligned understanding and expectations. This encompasses requirements, project progress, and deliverables throughout the entire project lifecycle.

9. Testing & Quality Assurance: Define test scenarios from a business perspective, identify key test cases, and actively partake in system and user acceptance testing (UAT). Collaborate with testers to efficiently resolve defects, ensuring business requirements are met with high-quality standards; proficient API testing skills are a plus.

10. Design Thinking & User Centricity: Embrace design thinking principles and a user-centric mindset across projects, from requirements elicitation to solution proposals. This helps gain insights into and address business and customer issues and needs effectively.

11. Business Acumen: Possess a robust business mindset and a clear understanding of organizational goals and strategies. Offer insights and recommendations to clients and stakeholders, considering key business drivers to contribute to overall project success.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of work experience in IT/Mobile application development. Exposure in banking, finance, insurance, or retail business industries is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Excellent business analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for crafting experiences and delivering insights to clients through research, analytics, design, and delivery.
• Experience in a client-facing role at an agency or consulting firm, or equivalent experience in product management.
• Practical experience in agile/SCRUM methodologies or similar approaches.
