Job Purpose:

The position contributes to the planning and execution of innovative volunteer initiatives, promotes meaningful engagement and bonding among volunteers, and facilitates collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to broaden community impact. It also plays a key role in recognizing and rewarding volunteer contributions, and in supporting targeted volunteer groups to ensure their sustained involvement and well-being.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, collaborate on, and execute service or development plans that align with the agency’s strategic goals and the Red Cross Movement 
  • Create a friendly environment and ensure quality execution of team plans 
  • Provide support and resources to volunteers, helping them overcome challenges and stay engaged  
  • Monitor progress, identify risks or issues, and propose solutions as needed 
  • Manage daily operations of the team and volunteer-related activities  
  • Build and maintain strong connections with internal teams to promote volunteerism 
  • Actively engage external stakeholders (e.g. NGOs, community partners, corporate partners) to enhance collaboration and outreach 
  • Take a leading role in organizing events and campaigns that promote volunteer participation and public awareness  
  • Guide and monitor the work of Programme Executives 


Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Social Science, Marketing, or related discipline with at least 2 years of working experiences in relevant service sectors preferably in volunteer service, project management and event management or
  • Associate Degree / Higher Diploma in Social Work with at least 2 years of working experiences in relevant service sectors preferably in volunteer service, project management and event management 
  • Flexile personality, innovative, analytical thinking, initiative with mindset for improving service quality and with integrity
  • Independent, result orientated, flexible and be able to work under pressure and tight working schedule
  • A good team player equipped with good communications and interpersonal skills to work with a multi-disciplinary environment with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in volunteer management and/or volunteer mobilization
  • Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially in Word processing, PowerPoint, Excel and media production
  • Willing to work on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays as needed


Contract Period: 1 year (Renewable)
