Information Technology Office
Major Duties:(a) To assist in planning, executing, and monitoring IT project;
(b) To participate in system design, development, testing, and deployment activities;
(c) To handle administrative tasks including documentation, scheduling, reporting, and vendor coordination;
(d) To collaborate with various departments and offices to gather user requirements, develop and deliver viable system solutions;
(e) To conduct market research and evaluate new technologies to support digital transformation and innovation;
(f) To arrange and conduct training sessions for the new or revamped systems;
(g) To work closely with cross-functional teams to align IT solutions with business goals; and
(h) To provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff.
Requirements:
(a) A recognised degree in in Information Technology or equivalent professional qualifications;
(b) At least 2 years’ relevant work experience in software/systems development and/or project management;
(c) Proficiency in common programming development frameworks, RPA tools and front-end technologies;
(d) Experience with Agile, DevOps or CI/CD practices;
(e) Full stack development experience will be an advantage;
(f) Familiarity with IT network, cloud platforms and Linux/Windows server administration and cybersecurity implementation for systems development will be an advantage;
(g) Passion for technology and continuous learning;
(h) Team-oriented with a proactive and innovative mindset;
(i) Good communication, teamwork, organisational and administrative skills; and
(j) Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.
Notes:
(1) The post is at the rank of “Officer”.
(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and outside Hong Kong, and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays.
(3) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(4) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus.

The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012.
