(Assistant) Installation Engineer

We are looking for (Assistant) Installation Engineer based in Hong Kong to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for:-

• Undertake design modification/installation tasks and provide technical support for the interface between rolling stock and signaling systems with emphasis on electrical and mechanical aspect
• Lead an installation team (including contractors) to ensure installation activities are performed without deviations, following design, methods, test and quality standards.
• Implement the engineering management system within the local project location and across multiple sites when required.
• Support the Installation Manager with technical guidance, leadership, site safety and monitor the project’s performance to maximize efficiencies and project delivery.
• Ensure engineering delivery and technical change is integrated with design, possession planning, installation, test, other disciplines and provide a mechanism for effective communications.
• Apply the method statement/ installation procedures according design documentation or report on any deviation needed. Makes sure the EHS requirements are clearly and followed
• Prepare engineering document submission for customer approval such as method statement, post installation inspection record, site survey report, etc
• Mentor, coach and train other supervisor/technician when required to support the installation engineering activity.
• Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies to minimize potential project disruptions and enhance safety measures.

Requirement:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

5 years of experience in the design and construction of signalling works or rolling stock for large-scale railway projects in a multi-disciplinary environment

Experience in Environment, Health & Safety, knowledge of local legal requirements

Experience in coordination and evaluation of subcontractors

Team spirit approach and good communication skills

Possess the agility to adapt to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment.

May need to work night shifts subject to work arrangement.
