Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the department
  • Monitor all activities related to E&M, Medical Gas Pipeline System, and ELV systems
  • Coordinate with architect, consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical problems of building maintenance and repair works
  • Manage and troubleshoot E&M systems’ failures, water seepage, spalling, plumbing & drainage system, waterproofing work of buildings envelope, curtain wall maintenance & repair, masonry, ironmongery, carpentry work, retaining wall & slope maintenance, building fire safety, LED display wall, rectification of potential risk buildings works, buildings fabrics maintenance and signage work
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, mandatory buildings/windows inspection schemes, minor work regulations, and related statutory requirements
  • Develop and manage budgets, tenders, and payment settlements of related projects
  • Provide technical advice on projects and feasibility studies of building improvement works
  • Participate in various types of project meetings
  • Develop and implement work instructions, procedures and guidelines for routine and emergency repairs, maintenance and replacements
  • Manage all submissions, certifications and verifications required by statutory bodies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Surveying, Building Services, Facilities management, Engineering Management, or a related discipline
  • Corporate Membership with HKIS, RICS, CIOB or equivalent professional qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Registered Technical Competent Person III (minor works), including site supervision of building contractors, and testing & commissioning of E&M systems, buildings work and A&A work or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with government agencies, internal teams, and external partners
  • Strong people management skills
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese
