Working under the guidance of the Assistant Director of HR. This entry-level role is ideal for candidate eager to start their HR career, providing hands-on experience in various HR functions including Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, and Learning & Development.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Support:

Provide administrative assistance to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining HR documents, and handling correspondence related to HR policies and procedures

  • Talent Acquisition Coordination:

Assist in coordinating recruitment activities, including posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates throughout the hiring process

  • Onboarding Assistance:

Support the onboarding process by preparing materials and coordinating onboarding schedules for new hires

  • Employee Benefits Coordination:

Assist in administering employee benefits programs, including maintaining records and answering basic inquiries from staff

  • Learning & Development Programs:

Assist in the coordination and implementation of training programs that promote continuous learning within the organization

  • Payroll Administration & Offboarding Support:

Help with data entry for payroll and assist in coordinating offboarding processes for departing employees

  • Data Management & Reporting:

Support the maintenance of accurate employee records and assist in compiling reports and data analysis to support HR initiatives

Requirements

  • Fresh graduate with a Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field;
  • Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree and more than one year of relevant work experience may be considered for the position of Assistant Officer. 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese

Soft Skills

  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication
  • Empathy & Confidentiality: Handling sensitive employee matters
  • Problem-solving: Addressing employee concerns effectively
  • Organization & Time Management: Handling multiple tasks like onboarding, documentation, and scheduling

Technical Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Labor Laws and HR practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) is a plus

Other Experience (if any)

  • Internships or part-time roles in HR, recruiting, or administration
  • Volunteer work or roles involving customer service or people management are also valuable

 

  • Must share the commitment of Mother’s Choice in upholding the safety and protection of children as paramount.
