Duties
The Alumni Relations Office (ARO) aims to unite alumni to support University development. It seeks to build a strong global alumni network, foster alumni bonds, and strengthen the relationships between alumni and the University. The appointee will proactively engage alumni with the University by devising alumni engagement strategies including organising events and affinity programmes to achieve the goals of the Office.

Manage the development of alumni groups and associations, including overseeing the secretariat of CityUHK Convocation, a statutory alumni body under the University;

Implement affinity programmes such as the Alumni Ambassador Scheme and organise key events including Alumni Homecoming;
-
Coordinate engagement initiatives and events;
-
Facilitate alumni leaders’ participation in University initiatives;
-
Collaborate with University units on alumni engagement projects to create synergy;
-
Provide support in office administration and report preparation;

Support initiatives and alumni engagement in HK, overseas as well as mainland China;

Segmentate and engage alumni through different events; and
-
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Irregular working hours and occasional travels outside Hong Kong on a need basis are required.
Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree with more than 7 years’ post-qualification experience;
-
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);

Proven experience in event management and administrative coordination;

Proven success in stakeholder engagements;
-
Attention to details, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and creative approach to problem solving; and
-
A strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation to work independently under tight deadlines.

Experience working in tertiary education institutions, especially in alumni affairs, would be an advantage.
Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Alumni Relations Officer II.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test and interview.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
