Designer - Digital Marketing (Maternity Cover)

Job Responsibilities:

• Take briefs from the Creative Director / Art Director and/or client and subsequently refine, challenge and develop the brief
• Create the most appropriate visual solution in adherence to the brand guidelines whilst keeping work innovative and fresh
• Acknowledge and understand the client’s expectations
• Deliver work to high visual and strategic standards ready for presentation to the client
• Assist the Creative Director / Art Director to schedule and estimate projects, obtain quotes and liaise with suppliersand clients where appropriate
• Be able to work from a brief through to completion of the project
• Be able to work individually or as part of a team.
• Provide leadership and guidance on projects that involve vendors / external creatives where relevant.
• Be aware of budgets and keep the Creative Director / Art Director informed about time and potential cost changes
• Provide consistent quality assurance of the work generated by all designers within the studio
• Manage own time and others, where appropriate, to ensure deliverables are met and delivered on time

Job Requirements:

• Degree holder Graphics Design / Visual Communication, or related discipline with at least 5 years of work experience in related field
• Good communication skills in both written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin) and English
• Proficient in Chinese word processing (Traditional and Simplified)
• Experience in creating sophisticated design aesthetic for China WeChat, Weibo and others
• Familiarity with Social Media and internet practices (in mainland China is a plus)
• Draw storyboards for advertisements, knowledge of video production for online platforms, ecommerce & digital marketing media including site content, direct email marketing, social media advertising and video/multimedia, across the brands online presence (within the China market is a plus).
• Excellent working knowledge of Mac operating system and software, principally InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Office and FIGMA and/or Sketch
