Senior Operations Manager

Purpose of the Role: We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Operations Manager to lead our distribution center and oversee critical operational functions within our healthcare service network. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance, supplier management, client service and people leadership to support our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Expectations of the Role:

• Oversee all daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping of pharmaceuticals and medical devices

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse supervisors and staff. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement

• Serve as the site lead for all regulatory matters. Ensure strict adherence to GDP (Good Distribution Practice), FDA, DEA, and other relevant national and international regulations

• Manage inventory accuracy and control processes. Oversee cycle counts, reconciliation, and ensure the security of high-value and controlled substances

• Expertly manage the storage and distribution of temperature-sensitive products (2-8°C, -20°C), ensuring uninterrupted cold chain integrity

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies

• Champion a safe work environment. Maintain and enforce robust security protocols for the facility and all products within it

• Develop and monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to drive operational performance and report to senior management

• Manage the operational budget and relationships with key logistics and service partners

Attributes Required:

Must-Have:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field

• At least 5 years of experience in warehouse/distribution management, preferably in healthcare or pharmaceutical distribution

• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP/SAP platforms

• Strong knowledge of GDP, health & safety regulations, and quality systems

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams

• Strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, regulated environment

Advantage to Have:

• Exposure to digital transformation/automation initiatives in supply chain or operations

• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese)
