Project Designer (Asia Pacific Travel Retail)

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Account Servicing team to understand client requirements and translate them into actionable design solutions.

• Liaise directly with factories and production partners to ensure design feasibility, material selection, and production quality.

• Demonstrate strong self-management skills, working independently and efficiently to meet project deadlines.

• Maintain a cost-sensitive approach throughout the design and production process, identifying opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization.

• Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to onsite installation and handover.

• Lead and supervise onsite contractors and workers to ensure project commitments are met, including quality, timeline, and safety standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Project Designer or similar role in construction, retail fit-out, or related fields.

• Proficiency in 2D design and output tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).

• Experience with 3D design software (SketchUp, Rhino, 3D Max) and related rendering tools.

• Competency in CAD design (AutoCAD).

• Proven track record in deliverables management, including supervisory experience with factories, workers, and quality control in Mainland China.

• Strong portfolio showcasing both design creativity and project management capabilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience in travel retail, retail fit-out, or visual merchandising projects.

• Familiarity with production processes, materials, and finishing techniques.

• Demonstrated ability to lead onsite teams and coordinate with contractors.

• Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
