Assistant Safety Manager / Senior Safety Officer - RSO

Reporting to the Safety Manager, the incumbent will:

• Ensure compliance with Schindler’s Employee Safety and Health Policy and relevant local safety regulations.

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented

• Assist in the development and implementation of safety management systems, including risk and incident management.

• Support the integration of safety requirements into business processes

• Organize and conduct safety training sessions for employees and subcontractors to enhance safety awareness and skills.

• Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.

• Oversee the reporting and investigation of safety incidents, ensuring accurate documentation and analysis.

• Develop and implement strategies to prevent recurrence of incidents.

• Work closely with the Safety Manager and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on safety objectives.

• Communicate safety policies and procedures effectively across the organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Environmental Science or related disciplines

• A Registered Safety Officer is a must

• Chartered Membership is a plus

• Registered Safety Auditor is a plus

• Minimum of five years’ relevant experience, preferably in the lifts and escalators or construction industry

• Audit skills on ISO 45001

• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese

• Good computer skills of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
