Procurement - Assistant Executive

About the role

Sumitomo Electric Interconnect Products (Hong Kong) Limited seeks a talented Procurement Assistant Executive to join our dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring various materials and services to support our manufacturing operations. As a key procurement team member, you will play a vital role in ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

• Follow up on purchase orders and ensure orders are appropriately delivered;
• Liaise with suppliers, sales, engineers and factories on requirements;
• Negotiate with suppliers on price and terms;
• Assist in the sourcing, evaluation, negotiation and procurement of goods and services to ensure the best in price, quality, and service most efficiently and effectively;
• Assist other ad-hoc projects as assigned;
• Supervising team members or management report preparation may be necessary;
• Experienced in the European/ US market is an advantage;
• Overtime or Flexible working time is required;
• Occasional travel is required. 
   

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably within the manufacturing, electronic parts and components industries
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Solid understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Proficient in written and spoken Chinese and English (Japanese is an advantage)
