Purpose of the Job:

The role involves managing Shopify apps to enhance store functionality and performance, including evaluating and streamlining app usage. Responsibilities also include optimizing page speed, updating the Shopify theme, and collaborating with marketing and design teams for promotional features. Additionally, the position focuses on improving customer support tools and automating workflows to track performance and identify areas for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage various Shopify apps, ensuring performance and compatibility to enhance store functionality.
• Evaluate app performance and streamline operations by auditing and removing unnecessary apps.
• Optimize page speed using tools like Google PageSpeed Insights and collaborate with external developers for advanced improvements.
• Update and customize the Shopify theme using HTML, CSS, and Liquid, coordinating major changes with external developers.
• Collaborate with marketing and design teams to implement promotional features and maintain brand alignment.
• Optimize customer support tools, including CRMs and chatbots, to enhance user experience.
• Automate workflows and track performance metrics to identify areas for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in marketing, e-Commerce or a related discipline
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with external developers and app providers
• Ability to articulate performance and customization needs for timely implementation.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Liquid for minor theme adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with tools like Google PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix for diagnosing page speed issues.
• Analytical mindset for identifying performance improvement opportunities and implementing fixes independently.
• Proactive approach to resolving technical challenges with external partners.
• Understanding of the impact of apps and customizations on site performance and SEO, with 2–3 years of relevant experience.
