Works Supervisor II (Construction)

Successful candidates will be seconded to the Hong Kong Housing Authority.

Duties:

• Supervise building contractor on maintenance works, including making and recording site measurements and maintaining site records;
• Conduct survey & inspection to buildings and premises within public housing estates and courts; such inspection and survey may be conducted inside flats;
• Conduct survey & inspection to external areas, including slopes, within or adjacent to public housing estates and courts;
• Record the maintenance conditions through flat-to-flat inspection; prepare drawings, sketches, cost estimates and works orders;
• Brief tenant’s representative, OC and tenants on home caring to perform duties in uniform;
• Educate and guide tenant’s representative, OC and tenants the importance of proper maintenance on building elements and services installations;
• Establish with tenants and tenant’s representative a good relationship and communication network;
• Handle all enquires and complaints including telephone calls after office hours raised by tenants;
• Approach tenants during or after office hours for coordination and arrangement of inspection/maintenance works;
• Attend Maintenance Education Booth (MEB) to promote maintenance in public rental housing;
• Prepare and update programme inspection report, relevant database, and/or;

• Other duties as directed by the Housing Department.
  

Entry Requirement:

• Possession of a valid and recognized Confined Space Certificate of Certified Worker and Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate issued by an organization or institution under a course accredited by the Labour Department.
• Holder of Certificate from a Hong Kong polytechnic / polytechnic university / technical institute in Architectural Studies / Surveying Studies / Building Studies / Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering / Construction Engineering & Management Studies / Infrastructure & Environmental Engineering / Urban Renewal, Building Inspection & Maintenance / Building Technology & Interior Design, or equivalent with relevant working experience in building maintenance; and
• Qualification of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, HKCEE (“Grade E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in HKCEE held before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 2” in Chinese Language and English Language), or equivalent;
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint application; and

• Having positive working attitude and service-oriented mindset.
  

Salary:

• $25,115 - $29,995 per month subject to meeting minimum requirements and appropriate assessment of working experience and proven track records in relevant field.
