Assistant Accountant - Accounts Receivable

We are currently seeking for an Assistant Accountant - Accounts Receivable who will support our Accounting Team.

Assistant Accountant

• Handle weekly donation counting, donor enquiries and income transaction processing.
• Review, approve all weekly income and fund transactions to align with the correct chart of accounts, job codes, and meet with deadlines.
• Process debit/credit notes, cost reallocation, adjustments to comply with the budget, chart of accounts and control standards.
• Perform weekly posting, maintain accounting ledgers and month end bank reconciliations.
• Follow up on outstanding receivables, commitments, investigate circumstances of non-payment, update status, and issue statements to expedite receipts according to the set schedules.
• Maintain regular financial security by adhering to internal accounting control standards, policies and procedures.  Perform annual internal control evaluation with CFO and Senior Accountant.
• Maintain and update database.
• Perform weekly income, budgetary reporting and cash flow forecast to the management.
• Participate in donor enquiries and tax receipt issuances.
• Assist the CFO on audits preparation, statistical analysis, reports, budget preparations, financial presentations and any other ad hoc tasks assigned. internal control assessment and administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in accounting / business / commerce or similar discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting commercial industry preferred
• Experience in financial accounting systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office application
• Excellent interpersonal skills and team player attitude.  Organized and able to work in multi-tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese

• Familiar with church / non profit environment is preferred
