Job Description

The applicant must possess

  1. a recognised degree or above in construction safety management or other related fields, preferably with corporate membership of an appropriate professional institution;

  2. qualification of Registered Safety Auditor (RSA) and Registered Safety Officer (RSO), and an approved trainer for Labour Department recognized mandatory safety training course;

  3. a minimum of 7 years’ solid qualification relevant working experiences, preferably in sizable organisations, conversant with renowned safety management system and vision;

  4. solid programme development and management skills, and experience in teaching and designing programmes under Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF);

  5. effective classroom teaching and delivery skills, and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research;

  6. good networking capabilities and interpersonal skills, and ability to establish strong working relationships with stakeholders in construction industry or vocational education and training;

  7. skills in AI and data analytics for strategic planning and decision-making would be an advantage;

  8. a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua is preferred.

 

 (Applicants who do not possess the required qualifications and / or experience may be considered for other positions within the organisation.)

Duties include

  1. to conduct Safety Training Courses and organise all necessary activities, including site visits and seminars;

  2. to devise and implement new training courses and prepare training materials and assignment/ examination papers to comply with the latest occupational safety and health requirements and to meet the developments of the industry;

  3. to evaluate and update course contents of related Training courses;

  4. to liaise with the industry on the provision of tailor-made training courses; and

  5. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.

The position is on a renewable fixed-term contract (subject to performance and operational needs) for a period of 2 years.
