Core responsibilities
Project leadership: Lead and manage interior design projects from initial concept through to completion.
Design development: Develop and present design concepts, including mood boards, drawings, and 3D renderings, that meet client objectives and align with industry trends.
Team management: Lead and guide a team of designers, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality work.
Client relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring design solutions exceed their expectations.
Budget and timeline management: Oversee project budgets, schedules, and workflow to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Technical execution: Create detailed construction documents and oversee the selection of materials, finishes, and furnishings.
Collaboration: Work with external teams, including architects, contractors, and vendors.
Trend analysis: Stay informed on the latest design trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate into projects.
Required skills and qualifications
- Proven experience in leading interior design projects and managing project lifecycles.
- A degree in interior design or a related field is often required.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, D5 rendering and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong conceptual and creative skills, with a portfolio showcasing a range of projects.
- Excellent project management and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
