Works Supervisor (Building Services) 2-Year Contract

Responsibilities

• Supervise project works including new building works, renovation, fitting-out and improvement works for school campus, focusing on the building services aspects.
• Carry out on-site / off-site inspections and any works for building services installations against contract requirements and good practice in Hong Kong.
• Monitor labour and equipment resources deployed by the contractors to ensure timely completion of project works.
• Inspect and ensure adequate and high standard of housekeeping, environmental, safety and pre-cautionary measures are provided by the contractor.

• Carry out inspections of the building services works and check conformity with the drawings, specification and contract requirements. Ensure only approved materials and equipment are installed.
• Assist in site surveys of existing building services installations before and during construction stage to facilitate design and construction works.
• Attend all site inspections performed by consultants.
• Coordinate with the project team and contractors on site matters.
• Inspect and witness the testing and commissioning of building services installations.
• Maintain a site record of the daily activities on site and prepare weekly reports.
• Carry out inspection of defects and identify outstanding works.
• Monitor the rectification of defects by the contractors and ensure the works are satisfactorily completed in a timely manner.

Requirements

• A Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Services / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering from a Hong Kong Educational Institute, or equivalent.
• Not less than 8 years of relevant working experience including 3 years solid on-site experience in supervision of Electrical, Mechanical and Building Services construction works for institutional projects.
• Self-motivated, good communications and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Obtained valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card).
• Available to work on Saturday, Sunday and Public holidays and irregular hours as necessary and required.
