Job Description

Job Title: Senior Logistics Executive/ Logistics Executive
Department: Logistics / Supply Chain
Reporting To: Logistics Manager
Location:  Hong Kong / China (occasionally travel)
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
The Senior Logistics Executive /Logistics Executive will oversee end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of imported raw materials (fabrics, accessories) from ASEAN suppliers and exported finished garments to EU/US markets. The role requires expertise in freight forwarding, customs compliance, documentation, and coordination with internal teams and external partners to optimize supply chain efficiency.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Import Logistics (ASEAN Suppliers → Factory)
• Coordinate with China and ASEAN fabric/accessory suppliers to schedule shipments (air/sea/road).
• Handle import documentation (invoices, packing lists, BLs, COOs, import permits) and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transporters to clear goods efficiently and minimize delays/demurrage.
• Monitor inbound shipments and update internal teams (procurement, production) on ETAs.
2. Export Logistics (Factory → EU/US Customers)
• Manage export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, BLs/AWBs, EUR.1/Form A, customs declarations).
• Ensure compliance with EU/US trade regulations (e.g., HS codes, labeling, testing standards).
• Book freight (FCL/LCL/air) and negotiate rates with carriers/forwarders to reduce costs.
• Coordinate with QA, warehouse, and production teams to meet shipment deadlines.
3. Compliance & Cost Control
• Stay updated on INCOTERMS, customs tariffs, FTA benefits (e.g., CHINA/ASEAN-HK, EU GSP), and duty-saving schemes.
• Audit freight invoices and logistics expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Resolve customs hold-ups, discrepancies, or penalties proactively.
4. Stakeholder Coordination
• Act as the primary contact for suppliers, freight forwarders, customers, and internal teams.
• Provide shipment updates to sales/production teams to align with order deadlines.
• Address logistics-related customer complaints (e.g., delays, damages) and implement corrective actions.
5. Process Improvement
• Optimize routing, packaging, and shipping methods to reduce lead time and costs.
• Implement digital tools (e.g., ERP, TMS) to track shipments and automate documentation.
• Train junior logistics staff on best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Higer diploma or above in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
Experience: 5+ years in shipping/logistics, preferably  in garment/textile manufacturing with ASEAN/EU/US trade. (Less experience will be also considered)
Technical Skills:
◦ Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., Tradelink…etc. ) and MS Excel.
◦ Deep knowledge of customs procedures, HS codes, and trade agreements (e.g., EU GSP, CPTPP, CDC).
◦ Familiarity with L/C, DP payment terms and cargo insurance.
Soft Skills:
◦ Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
◦ Fluent in English (written/spoken); Mandarin.
