We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science and Technology:
Temporary Technical Assistant (R6601) (S&T) (Ref: 24002CG)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will mainly assist the Principal Investigator in a research project “Investigation and Development of a Universal Methodology for the Establishment of Bacterial Free Laboratory Culture of Harmful Algal Blooming Causative Species (R6601). He/She will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Conducting experiments and data analysis;
- Assisting in drafting research proposals, manuscripts, progress reports and relevant documents; and
- Performing other research duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- At least 5 subjects with Level 2 in HKDSE or equivalent, including English & Chinese languages and Mathematics;
- Strong sense of responsibility and good interpersonal skills;
- Proficient communication skills in both English and Chinese; and
- Experience in paper publication, research and data analysis will be an advantage.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary full-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
