Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team at Suzhou Gold Mantis Construction Decoration Co.,Ltd.'. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of our fit-out projects. This full-time position is based in Hong Kong and SuZhou(China), but frequent business trips to Southeast Asia and Central Asia are required, where you will contribute to the overall success of all our fit-out projects operations.

What you'll be doing

1. Prepare and analyze cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects
2. Negotiate and administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions
3. Manage the procurement process, including tender evaluations and supplier negotiations
4. Provide expert advice and support to project managers and other stakeholders on cost-related matters
5. Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with construction projects
6. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other external parties to resolve contractual and financial issues
7. Participate in the development and implementation of cost control systems and procedures
8. Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors within the team

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry
2. Thorough understanding of construction contracts, cost estimating, and financial management principles
3. Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and tools
4. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
6. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
7. Relevant professional qualifications, such as a degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
8. Fluent in English and Chinese speaking, listening and writing
