Job Description

Position Objectives:

  • Follow protos and sms production and delivery;
  • Execute for accessories, component and material sourcing, product aesthetic and sample management, sample approvals, partner with QA team for a smooth package hand-off for sourced product;
  • Ensure products can meet business needs and brand requirements;
  • Manage factory/preparation and execution of on time production with partnering with QA team for quality perspective;
  • Responsible for order processing after receiving official PO, managing bulk MOG against order and material prebooking.
  • Check the material inventory and mold cost by following actual order;
  • Support any ad hoc projects & other team duties if needed.

Responsibilities:

Product Development

  • Working with factories onreviewing product, construction and spec;
  • Sourcing materials and componentsrelative to needs of the brands appropriate aesthetics;
  • Working with factories onaesthetic and quality standards for Lacoste. Maintain standards across vendorsfor consistent execution of brand appropriate aesthetics;
  • Sample development follow up andquality control, including but not limited to market samples, salesmen samples,advertising, marketing, and special projects. Make sure sample delivery to beon time as requested;
  • Review and communicate productand necessary spec sheet changes to manager and Paris development team foraccurate product definition.  Maintainrecords of all standards for development accuracy, library, and as a foundationfor quality assurance;
  • Work with the vendors on allaspects of sample fulfillment from material reservations through ex-factory ofsamples to destination;
  • Monitoring sample materialliabilities and development budget, report to managers timely
  • Manage and report toward timelyapprovals for all components relative to product to meet design andpre-production timelines.  Advise Paris development/production team of specific timelines for approvals that are unique to aparticular component;
  • Follow up and maintain base fileaccuracy;
  • Follow up related schedule anddocumentation with factory during development process;
  • Prepare full set of packages forhanding off to review with manager and then work with QA teamfor a smooth transfer for each new buy or new collection;
  • Arrange andfollow up pre-production samples and lap dips in a timely manner without affectSMS & Bulk delivery;
  • Prepare post-marketround table meeting and provide product specifications to factories, internalproduction & quality team;

Costing

  • Follow up Prototype and post-market price negotiationwith factories;
  • Review factory quotation before sending and make sure all prices are reflecting anyproducts/material updates;
  • Conduct consumption cross checking for accuracy and providecomparison chat;
  • Identify cost saving option and maintain accuracy &update costing file
  • Ensure all factories have the full visibility tocurrent component cost timely and correctly;
  • Negotiate with factory on all the costing detailsbased on CBD;
  • Work with factories or material suppliers for accuracy & savingoptions to understanding products for cost;
  • Component MOQ/Surcharge rework /negotiation whenprojection received if component under minimum;
