Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and deliver tax compliance work for corporate and individual clients.
- Lead, manage and deliver tax advisory engagements on a day-to-day basis.
- Participate in business development activities including developing networks and relationships for business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with tax authorities, external advisors, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Provide coaching and guidance to junior staff to foster their professional growth and development.
- Support and act towards the BDO Global Vision.
- Be committed to act with the firm’s core values and competency expectations.
Requirements
- Degree holder, preferably major in accounting or related disciplines.
- Qualified accountant with at least 6 years of relevant experience gained from sizable accounting firm and industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex tax legislation, case law and international tax materials.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Mandarin.
- Self-driven and passionate about providing exceptional quality service and striving for exceeding clients’ expectations.
- Proactive and responsible, being a strong, involved and committed team player and meanwhile able to work independently.
