Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Engineer with a background in civil construction
engineering to join our team. As a Senior Engineer, you will oversee the construction of civil
infrastructure projects and ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required
quality standards. This is a challenging and crucial role that requires a high level of technical knowledge,
as well as strong project management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the construction of marine infrastructure projects, including breakwaters, jetties,
quays, and other marine structures.
- Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality
standards.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, working closely with the
project team.
- Manage site activities, including coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring
compliance with health and safety regulations, and monitoring progress against the schedule.
- Identify and report any issues or problems that may impact project delivery, and work with
the project team to develop solutions.
- Maintain accurate project records, including daily site reports, progress reports, and change
orders.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as required.
Manage project budgets and cost control, including preparing estimates and forecasts, and
monitoring actual costs against budget.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant specifications, codes of practice,
and quality standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the project team as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in civil /marine construction engineering, with a proven track
record of delivering complex projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of marine construction engineering, including materials, methods,
and equipment.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project
schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients,
stakeholders, and project teams.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in project management software tools and Microsoft Office.
