Job Description

SHORT INTRODCUTION

The Asia Traffic Team is established in HK to work closely with the Asia Project Engineering Team in the Dongguan Office as well as US counterparts for toys product development schedule monitoring. 

Currently, we are looking for a Scheduling Analyst to manage a significant volume of the 1st order weekly for schedule maintenance.


REQUIREMENTS: 

  1. Strong ability and proficiency in Excel is required and be the first priority
  2. Strong analytical, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills
  3. Good knowledge of Plastic Toy/Plush manufacturing production processes or with merchandising background.  

GENERAL PURPOSE

Act as the communication hub, working with the US Scheduling/Traffic Team counterparts and collaborating with Asia Project Engineering Team to ensure projects are on track to achieve target dates.

Responsible for managing the product schedules of specific brand(s), including maintaining operational communication and transparency with US counterparts, as well as ensuring timely product delivery.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Development Log is a single truth of schedule tool to track the schedule of each new SKU being developed each season and year. This is a master document for both US and Asia Teams to have visibility and transparency to what the status is for each stage of development as well as the dates for the deliverables. As a member for the Asia Traffic Team, the main duty is to provide information /updates on the development log for milestones that are identified as owned by the Asia Traffic/Scheduling Team. These are major milestones that can affect the on-time delivery of products. 

Identify any delays in the schedule and also requires contributing to solutions and/or escalating the solutions can be reviewed with the US and Asia counterparts 

  • Work with Asia Order Management Team for the 1st PO commitment which aligned with the factory's confirmed date.
  • That need Strong ability and proficiency in Excel to sort out ton of the 1st order weekly to oversee items development process, take initiative to identify any potential risks caused Shipment Impact for the 1st PO.
  • Monitor project status and data input according to the agreed project plans with the Asia Project Engineering in Dongguan office and factories. 
  • Drive the weekly progress meetings with Asia Project Engineering in Dongguan office and providing clear visibility of item status on tracker and Development Log.
  • Dig out the reasons why for schedule delays and maintain the schedule changes to catch up the pull in schedule provided and why.
  • Maintain and input information integrity in the development log weekly to ensure data accuracy in management Red Flag reports in order to provide transparency of product development progress to other departments.
  • Take fast action to red flag potential late comments/Licensor approval/Packaging issue, etc. for team motivation.
  • Traveling to Dongguan Office for working with counterparts is part of the job requirements.

Education/ Years of Related Experience:

  • 3 years or above of relevant working experience in Plastic Toy / Plush / Souvenir production development with project management knowledge, preferably from manufacturing industry
  • Experience in consumer products is preferred
  • Manufacturing and production knowledge, preferrable with a merchandising background
  • Candidate with Intensive experience would be considered as Associate Scheduling Manager
  • Good command of both written and spoken English, Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong ability and proficiency in Excel is required and be the first priority;
  • Strong analytical, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills;
  • Work independently, self-motivated with positive attitude and mindset and willing to take challenge to work under fast-paced environment; 
  • Strong knowledge in manufacturing processes;
  • Strong organizational skills, planning and multi-tasking skills;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English, Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) 

Availability: immediate is preferred

Work Location: Chai Wan (commercial building, close to MTR)
