Resident Clerk-of-Works (for HKPM project)

Rocco Design Architects Limited is looking for the following resident site staff for the Traffic Improvement Works in West Kowloon Cultural District, Hong Kong. The project involves construction of a main canopy, covered walkway, bus shelter and associated building services works and miscellaneous works at existing drop-off areas.

 Resident Clerk of Works (RCOW)

Applicants should have:

• A Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Studies from the Construction Industry Council in Hong Kong / Hong Kong Institute of Construction / Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College/ Hong Kong Technical Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, or equivalent / Engineering qualifications;

• The language proficiency requirements of Level 2* or above in English Language and Chinese Language in Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) / Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent;

• A minimum of 10 years’ relevant post-qualification working experience, with 6 years’ post qualification experience as Resident Clerk of Works, including experience in new building construction project and A&A works project; 

• Minimum qualifications and experience required for Grade T3 of the Technically Competent Person (TCP) under AP Stream for site safety supervision, as detailed in the Code of Practice for Site Supervision and the Technical Memorandum for Supervision Plans;
• Training in occupational safety and health in construction site safety

Grade E in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.]

The appointed applicant may be required to travel to the PRC on an occasional basis, if necessary, to conduct off-site inspections of prefabricated elements and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Appointment will initially be made on a 14-month contract tentatively commencing from October 2025 with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
