Project Officer

​Main Duties:

1. Devise plan, oversee and take part in liaising and recruiting local crop producers and vendors in wet markets and other sale channels
2. Plan, organize and execute collection, grading, packaging and distribution of local crop products at farms, depots, packaging facilities and wholesales levels, as well as during promotion events such as FARMFEST, Food Expo, VFA etc;
3. Acquire technical knowhow, provide training and technical advice to the farming industry at farms and depots on production, grading and packaging of local crop products.  Devise quality control and assurance framework and conduct related work;
4. Plan, organize and conduct survey, outreaches to fields and markets and related analysis with a view to identifying quality crop production and marketing outlets and gathering production and marketing data;
5. Plan, organize and carry out promotion and publicity activities for local farming industry;
6. Supervise and train staff; and
7. Perform ad hoc projects and duties as assigned.

Entry Requirements:

1. University degree in marketing, business, science, and related discipline or equivalent;
2. Two year’s practical experience in sales, marketing and promotion.  Experience in processing / handling / producing fresh vegetables / crops / food is preferred;;
3. Strong presentation and communication skills in Cantonese and English. Ability to speak Putonghua and local dialect in village is preferred; and
4. Good knowledge in MS Office application/design software/marketing tools.

Monthly salary: $26000 (depends on experience)

Working hours: Five working day per week (no less than 44 working hours per week, shift duty and overnight duty are required.)
