We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences:
Part-time Research Assistant II – 2D/3D Animator (Project No. Q1115) (A&SS) (Ref: 24002B4)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointees will mainly assist with two art-based creation projects under the QEM research project (Q1115). The appointees will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Participating in concept and art direction development for animations and key assets;
- Developing storyboards for the initial stages of production;
- Creating models, drawings and illustrations by hand or electronically;
- Making 2D/3D animations; and
- Comprehending and executing direction from the project supervisor.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
- A recognized Bachelor's degree in Creative Media, Animation, or any related disciplines;
- Strong knowledge of 2D/3D animation production;
- Good understanding of 2D/3D-related artistic and visual design principles and techniques;
- Proficiency in CGI software;
- Detail-oriented, hardworking, responsible, self-motivated, able to meet deadlines and work independently; and
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidates will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Payment will be made on hourly basis. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
