Part Time Illustrator

Key Responsibilities

• Design and illustrate original digital graphics, icons, illustrations, and other visual assets for various marketing and communication materials.
• Develop engaging visuals for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) that align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
• Create visual elements for website pages, landing pages, and blog posts to enhance user experience and engagement.
• Design and layout email templates and graphics for marketing campaigns.
• Produce graphics for digital advertisements and promotional materials.
• Ensure all designs are consistent with brand identity and maintain a high level of visual quality.
• Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design tools, and best practices in digital design and illustration.
• Manage and organize digital assets effectively.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience: 1+ years of proven experience in a digital design, graphic design, or a related role, with a strong portfolio showcasing social media creative work. Agency or in-house experience is welcome.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia Design, or a related field.

• Bilingual Proficiency: Exceptional, near-native command of written and spoken English and Traditional Chinese (Cantonese) is mandatory. Proficiency in Mandarin is a strong advantage.

• Local Market Knowledge: A deep understanding of the Hong Kong digital landscape, visual trends, and consumer preferences. Experience creating designs for both local and expatriate audiences.

• Technical Skills:

  • Design Software Proficiency: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Video Editing: Hands-on experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut) for creating social-first video content.

  • Illustration: Strong digital illustration skills and the ability to develop unique visual concepts.

  • AI Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience utilizing generative AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, Adobe Firefly) for visual ideation, asset creation, and enhancing design workflows. Must demonstrate a strong understanding of how to use AI as a creative partner while applying critical human oversight.

• Analytical Mind-set: An understanding of how design impacts performance metrics, with the ability to interpret feedback and data to refine creative work.
