Officer / Senior Officer, Global Procurement (MOL Logistics (H.K.) Ltd.)

Responsibilities:

• Access E-platforms to update rates/terms, maintain Buy Rates database, and benchmark Named Account (NAC), Freight for All Kinds (FAK), and Premium rate options;
• Support in managing ocean carriers’ service contracts, rate agreements filings and retrieving data for RFPs and bidding from ocean carriers’ websites;
• Prepare regular and ad-hoc procurement reports, including BAF adjustment summary, void sailing, and surcharge charges table;
• Audit ocean carriers' invoices, resolve disputes and prepare summaries for payment approval/process;
• Implement and enhance Rate Request templates for FCL/LCL effective negotiations and ensure timely responses;
• Align procurement guidelines with sales/operations to support new business opportunities and assist sales teams;
• Monitor bookings, manage forecasts, and guide local teams on carrier forecasting and space protection, and assisting origin and destination offices in resolving carrier-related issues;
• Support product development, profitability studies, and propose enhancements for performance measurement processes/reports;
• Perform other ad-hoc assignments as requested.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Logistics Management or equivalent;
• Minimum 3 years work experience in the shipping/freight forwarding industry, with over 1 year of solid hands-on experience in a Procurement or Operations role;
• Good communication and analytical skills; adept at logical thinking, data gathering, and analysis;
• Well-organized, responsible, proactive team player with a positive attitude;
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage;
• Proficient in PC skills and MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
• Candidates with more experience will be considered as Senior Officer.
