Medical Physics Technician                                                         

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Under supervision in providing services in RT&O Department and other related department in Baptist hospital including:

• Responsible for repair and maintenance work on medical linear accelerator, afterloading brachytherapy system, CT simulator and other radiological and related equipment

• Responsible for daily warm up of RT equipment and other radiological and related equipment

• Assist Physicists to calibrate and perform dosimetric measurements and quality assurance checks on radiotherapy and radiological equipment

• Assist Physicists to perform radiation survey and radiological protection measurements for patients, staff and members of the public

• Assist Physicists to perform treatment plan quality assurance checks

• Assist Physicists to provide preventive and emergency maintenance services for Radiotherapy, electronic equipment, computer server and network systems

• Help to co-ordinate repairs, QA after repair and system update service works

• Assist Physicists to handle radioactive substance and waste

• Any other duty pertaining to the efficient operation of the hospital, as directed by the supervisor

• Shift and on-call duty are required

 Entry Requirements

• Higher Diploma / Associate Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

 Preferred Attributes / Exposure

• Relevant maintenance experience is preferable

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Precision and Carefulness

• Teamwork
