Job Description

The applicant must possess

  1. a recognised degree; preferably in construction related disciplines;
  2. a minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification relevant work experience in construction industry and / or public administration;
  3. profound knowledge in registration matters, compliance regime, inspection and enforcement, oversight and corporate governance;
  4. strong leadership and customer-oriented mind set;
  5. proactive and with a high level of integrity and a good sense of responsibility;
  6. excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  7. proficiency in Microsoft application software (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, MS Teams etc.); Chinese word processing is a must.

Duties include

  1. to lead and drive various initiatives to enhance the Workers Registration, Registered Specialist Trade Contractors Registration Scheme (RSTCS) and Technically Competent Persons Registration Scheme (TCPRS) in terms of professionalism, technology application and rejuvenation;
  2. to administer registration schemes in full compliance with policies and procedures;
  3. to provide timely support and excellent services to registrants who apply for the registration schemes in person in CIC Service Centres or via contactless means;
  4. to lead the enhancement projects to registration related IT application systems and mobile app; to bring in new technologies such as AI to continue enhancing service delivery;
  5. to administer board and committee meetings and prepare bilingual agenda, papers and minutes;
  6. to closely liaise with industry stakeholders and authorities on latest industry and legal regime development so as to devise strategy and plan to enhance the registration schemes for the betterment of the construction industry;
  7. to be role model to the team and be able to motivate and grow team members; and
  8. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
