Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop Export Trade Compliance APAC employees. Manage workload specific to the Trade Compliance APAC team, including vetting requests, document translation, and validation of customer data
  • Manage Export Trade Compliance Audit team and functionality, ensuring departmental quality goals are met
  • Coordinate and conduct training and outreach for APAC offices, ensuring staff from other business units are aware of their responsibilities regarding Trade Compliance.
  • Develop team members using strategic delegation. Accountable for the performance of a team within own discipline based on departmental strategy & goals
  • Develop and administer plans and procedures for company personnel; adapt plans to address resource and operational challenge.
  • Oversee planning and organization of department activities. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and measurements in alignment with corporate strategy
  • Lead, plan, and organize department staff meetings. Provide business and team updates. Ensure that action items are completed in a timely manner
  • Evaluate data in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches for continual improvements in efficiency and service of the department
  • Build key partnerships within the organization to ensure understanding of broad business strategy and impact to other business units
  • Monitor and evaluate performance dashboards and reports; determine root cause of issues; propose and lead corrective actions
  • Work on special research projects relating to compliance issues
  • Oversee and provide strong mentorship to employees through effective training, coaching and team building
  • Act as an internal consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to Export Compliance issues relating to the assigned program or section area
  • Assist in the development, implementation and execution of appropriate policies, strategies, and procedures to enhance Company's Export Compliance Program
  • Other duties as assigned including but not limited to possible reallocation of efforts to other organizations per business need and management request

  Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in international business, economics, business administration or related discipline
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
  • 5-8 years of Trade Compliance experience
  • 4-8 years of experience working in Sales, PDC, Logistics, Shipping or Customer Service.
  • Knowledge in the following software/tools/systems: EASE, OCR, or other Export Review tools, WinDECS, eGain or other workflow management tools, Content Navigator
