Job Description
The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for clarifying business needs and goals, facilitating the preparation of Business Requirement Specifications (BRS) and User Stories, and ensuring alignment between business and IT teams. This role involves coordinating with delivery teams and Solution Architects to support effective project delivery and solution discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Requirements: Clarify and prioritize business requirements, ensuring they are documented in BRS/User Stories with clear information.
Coordination: Work closely with delivery teams and Solution Architects to clarify requirements and align business and IT objectives.
Solution Facilitation: Facilitate discussions on potential solutions with Solution Architects and delivery teams, communicating options effectively to business stakeholders.
Scrum Collaboration: Coordinate with relevant scrum teams for requirement discussions, assess solution impacts, and support sprint planning.
Functionality Mapping: Conduct functionality mapping of requirements to associated functions in relevant systems.
Technical Mapping: Facilitate technical mapping exercises with various teams to align with business requirements.
Traceability Matrix: Prepare and maintain the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) to track requirements, functional specifications, and UAT scenarios.
Review Support: Assist business stakeholders in conducting functional specification and UAT scenario reviews to ensure comprehensive coverage of requirements.
Security Assessment: Ensure that security assessments are included in project planning.
Effort Estimation: Consolidate and communicate effort estimations and sprint plans to relevant stakeholders.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a leadership role within the IT sector.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Senior Business System Analyst or in a related IT role.
- Experience in insurance or financial services is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex IT projects independently.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships.
- Highly organized, results-driven individual with effective interpersonal skills.
- Strong communicator, motivated to contribute to organizational success.
- Ability to make decisions based on facts and show resilience and drive.
