Job Description
Responsibilities
-Supervise and be responsible for the overall daily operation in the kitchen
-Modify menus or create new ones to meet quality standards
-Be responsible for the departmental budget and costs (food and manpower)
-Ensure the kitchen meets all regulations including health, sanitary, hygiene and food safety guidelines
-Recruit, train and supervise kitchen team members
-Maintain stock levels of all kitchen supplies
-Maintain excellent relationships with the clients and food suppliers
Requirements
-At least 6 years of experience in Japanese cuisine, with experience working in Japanese high-end restaurant is a plus
-Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a kitchen team
-Good knowledge of food handling, hygiene, preparation & cooking procedures
-Good interpersonal, communications, team management and administrative skills
-Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Japanese is an advantage
