Data Business Analyst | Insurance Technology Project

We are looking for a Data Business Analyst to be part of our large-scale digital transformation project. You will be instrumental in driving the successful execution of complex finance data migration projects to gain a deep understanding of data migration processes, strong technical skills, and excellent communication abilities to help drive our business solutions.

Role Summary:

As a Data Business Analyst, you will lead the analysis and execution of complex finance data migration projects within the insurance technology space. You will bridge business needs and technical solutions by translating stakeholder requirements into precise data strategies, optimizing SQL and ETL processes, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Your work will directly influence the success of large-scale digital transformation initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency and supporting critical business outcomes through strong collaboration and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders and business users to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Analyze current business processes to identify pain points and develop strategic solutions for improvement.
• Work with data teams to identify data inconsistencies, design data mapping, and implement ETL processes to support accurate and efficient data migration.
• Optimize SQL queries and troubleshoot database performance issues to enhance system efficiency.
• Perform gap analysis and proactively identify opportunities to improve workflows and data quality.
• Facilitate effective communication across technical and non-technical audiences, including conducting meetings and workshops to engage stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst.
• Experience in finance institutions or insurance is a strong advantage.
• Solid expertise in SQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with data migration tools and ETL processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken Cantonese.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
