Business Analyst (at the rank of IT Officer) in the Clinical Trials Centre (Ref.: 533163)
The Clinical Trials Centre (HKU-CTC) is a leading clinical trials management platform established under The University of Hong Kong LKS Faculty of Medicine (HKUMed) and is dedicated to managing and facilitating international-standard clinical trials on new drugs, medical devices and medical technologies. HKU-CTC offers long-term development opportunities to passionate talents who are devoted to a career in the clinical trial profession. We are seeking a high calibre candidate to join our Digital Innovation Team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the business requirements gathering, analysis and documentation process;
- Analyze business needs and formulate solution design plans;
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications;
- Act as a bridge between business users and solution providers to ensure that business solutions effectively address business needs;
- Manage end-to-end project schedules, from high-level system design and analysis, system implementation/enhancement, UAT to system deployment;
- Collaborate with solution providers to deliver application software platforms of high quality and stability; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in business requirement study, business process documentation and reporting;
- Proven skills and experience in writing requirement specifications, business process workflows and user stories;
- Ability to document complex logic, rules and requirements in a simple and easy-to-understand format, and to constructively present the findings to stakeholders;
- Excellent business analytical mindset, and good coordination and problem-solving skills;
- Holder of a project management certificate is preferred;
- Knowledge in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is an added advantage; and
- Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese (proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage).
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
