Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Assistant Manager supports the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Service (MHPSS) Service in-charge and Manager to ensure implementation and execution of the services, training, programmes, and events that are related to the promoting Psychological First Aid for ALL, as well as to support the emergency operations of the team if needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Manager (Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Service) to identify opportunities for and coordinate the mental health and psychosocial support training conducted for internal staff and volunteers, and external stakeholders including NGO partners, governmental departments, and corporates. Assist in the promotion and implementation of Psychological First Aid (PFA) course and PFA instructor programme. Foster and maintain good working relationships with different partners and stakeholders.

Support youth mental health projects, school outreach, and initial assessments of casework.

Design and coordinate psychoeducation activities and workshops for the promotion of psychological well-being to the community, monitoring quality and effectiveness, and evaluating the outcome and impact of the programme.

Lead and maintain the team members and volunteers to execute the planned works for ensuring the quality of service by equipping them with required skills, knowledge, and attitude.

Support Emergency Psychological Support Service in times of emergencies.

Carry out ad hoc projects and tasks when assigned by the Supervisor(s).
Requirements:

University Degree in Social Science, Education and Humanities, discipline in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling is preferred.

A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably with project implementation and volunteer management experience. Experience in blended learning, online learning platform or multimedia resource development is an advantage. Candidate with less experience will be considered.

Good at programme and training administration and operation, service analysis and report writing. Excellent skills in community work and social networking.

Self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, independent, able to work in a multi-disciplinary team and under pressure.

Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

Five-day work per week, may need to perform duties on weekends or evenings if required.

Good command of MS Office.
