Assistant Manager - Design (Denim)

Job Responsibilities :

• Conceptualize and develop innovative denim designs that align with the latest fashion trends and the brand's aesthetic
• Research industry trends, consumer insights and competitor analysis to inform your designs
• Collaborate closely with the product development, sales & merchandising and production teams to ensure seamless execution of design concepts
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in fabric, trims and denim-washing techniques to incorporate novel elements into the designs
• Mentor and guide subordinates to help them develop their skills and deliver high-quality work
• Participate in design reviews, presentations and meetings to share your ideas and receive feedback

Job Requirements :

• Degree or diploma holder in Fashion Design or related discipline
• 8+ years of experience in fashion design, specifically in the denim category
• A strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in conceptualizing and delivering on-trend denim designs
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Creative flair, an eye for detail and the ability to translate brand DNA into innovative design solutions
• Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese
• Willing to travel to Zhongshan (3-4 days / week) & overseas factories
