Assistant General Manager

About the role

Jing Du Yang Sheng Tang Chinese Herbal Mfg Ltd. is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Tsing Yi Kwai Tsing District. As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of our manufacturing business.

What you'll be doing

1. Assist the General Manager in developing and implementing business strategies to drive growth and operational efficiency
2. Oversee the production planning and scheduling processes to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of our Chinese herbal products
3. Manage and coordinate the activities of various functional departments, such as production, quality control, quality assurance, engineering and warehouse
4. Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness
5. Support project-based activities, including the preparation and setup of new production lines, maintenance of factory facilities, etc.
6. Liaise with suppliers, customers, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and address any issues or concerns
7. Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards such as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
8. Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to the production and planning teams

What we're looking for

1. Holder of a bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Chinese medicines, Pharmacy or related discipline
2. Minimum 10 years of experience in a production planning or operations management role, preferably in the TCM manufacturing or logistics industry
3. Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management principles
4. Proven track record in driving operational improvements and enhancing productivity
5. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
7. Strong leadership abilities and the ability to motivate and inspire teams

8. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and quality standards, prior experience with GMP standards is highly preferred
